Barahona Orphan Ministry + English Camp
In 2017, the Breakaway community rallied together to get a new basketball court paved for the Barahona orphanage, which serves as the epicenter of daily recreation for the children. During English camp this summer, our team made good use of the court with sessions for basketball, Baseball5™, and other games. Our partnership with the orphanage + mission center gives the children opportunities to develop valuable life skills such as language learning while contributing to their spiritual formation in the Gospel.
Our team also facilitated baseball camp/clinics in partnership with the local baseball clubs for youth ages 10-16.
