As we reflect on all the goodness God has shown us in 2024, we rejoice in his provisions and never cease to wonder at the amazing ways in which our Lord works for us, in us, and through us.

HOPE AGAIN Christmas

God continues to multiply our annual HOPE AGAIN Christmas outreach as we seek to mobilize communities to be the hands and feet of Jesus to kids and families facing hardship during the holiday season. This program aims to bless and restore hope to children in some of the most forgotten places—offering Christmas celebrations, worship experiences, gift giving, and “care bin” distribution (for those in transitional living spaces).

This year over 1,400 children have been impacted by Hope Again initiatives throughout our missions network at home and abroad in the Dominican Republic and United Kingdom. This movement demonstrates God’s love to children of prisoners, kids in domestic abuse shelters and foster care, juvenile inmates, trauma-impacted families, and others facing hard times. This year we also had the privilege of delivering gifts and care packages to children impacted by Hurricane Helene, which included age-appropriate Bible materials.

Your giving is bringing light into darkness through these tangible blessings and ministry spaces.

In 2024, your partnership with Breakaway Outreach has helped young people encounter the living Jesus locally, regionally, and internationally. Our expanding missions network is reaching youth for Christ in predominantly gospel-destitute places, multiplying disciple-making movements, developing and equipping youth workers, and in some regions, stimulating church growth or church planting momentum. Here are some of those highlights from this year…

11 youth camps

• Summer and winter camps serving at-risk youth and trauma-impacted kids from East Tennessee, North Georgia, and Western North Carolina
• Regional faith-based sports camps for youth and children
• International sports camps and English camps demonstrating the gospel through our intercultural partnerships in Italy, Germany, Dominican Republic, UK, South Korea, and West Africa

38 sports ministry clinics

Breakaway sports ministry clinics (SMCs) are gospel-driven community outreach events developing skills and building faith in youth through sports and recreational ministries. We have facilitated SMCs at schools, juvenile/rehab centers, church venues, refugee/migrant camps, and community centers.

3,420+ people engaged with the gospel

Over 3,420 young people + family members had the opportunity to hear and respond to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through Breakaway initiatives this year, with over 800 faith decisions indicating new walks with Jesus plus many more growing in their faith.

We praise God that 87% of young people attending Breakaway camps this year have been part of follow up ministries beyond the camps, directly with Breakaway or through our local church partnerships.

Celebrating 30-Years of Impact

Join us for our 2025 missions banquet on March 20, 2025—our “30-years anniversary celebration.” This will be a special evening looking back over the years at all God has done through this ministry, and looking ahead to the amazing stories HE is still writing through our Breakaway partnerships at home and abroad.

The banquet is an ideal onramp for you to discover ways to partner with us in bringing Breakaway initiatives into your community, serve on mission trips domestically or internationally, or for your church to find out how you can build church-to-church partnerships with church planting initiatives overseas through our youth sports camps and English teaching ministries.
