Be a HERO to a Child Facing Hardship this Christmas
At Breakaway Outreach, we believe that a small gift can make a big difference in helping a child facing hardship begin to hope again.
“The Christmas program was an amazing blessing to all my kids. I couldn’t afford to get them any gifts this year and was blown away by the generosity. Some of the kids were in tears when they opened their gifts. Thank you for letting us participate in this program.”

You can be a HERO to a child facing hardship this Christmas!
Breakaway Outreach serves young people facing a myriad of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and Christmas time is an opportunity to share Christ’s love with those affected by parental incarceration, domestic violence, trauma, homelessness (transitional living), economic insecurity, and other hardship. You can join us in bringing the Spirit of Christmas to less fortunate kids by making a secure online donation, packing shoebox gifts, or volunteering at a Christmas outreach party.
Options for how you can sponsor a child in need this Christmas:
- Christmas Shoebox Gifts: Pack shoebox gifts for children in domestic violence shelters or homeless transitional housing. Find out more details about how you can do this as an individual or group. Mobilize your church, community group, or office team.
- Donations: Make a donation to sponsor a child at one of our Christmas outreaches for disadvantaged children (the average amount for child sponsorship is $25).
- SPONSOR A CHILD facing hardship to attend Breakaway Winter Camp ($165 provides a full scholarship)
- Volunteer at one of our Christmas outreach parties, or host one at your church/location.
Your contribution to Breakaway Outreach is a gift that keeps on giving as children sponsored through our Christmas outreach programs are rhythmically connected with “next step” programs that Breakaway affords, such as camps, adventure retreats, afterschool activities, and mentoring initiatives.
