The Breakaway family has lost a dear loved one this past week.

Reverend Jarrod Lee Pillsbury, 47, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 24, 2018. He is survived by his wife Rachel and son Nikolas; his brothers Deon (Keren), Bill (Joy), Clinton (Michelle); many nieces and nephews; and two grand nephews. He had worked for many years in youth ministry with a passion for the Lord and living life to the fullest.

Jarrod was instrumental in a number of Breakaway projects and initiatives over the years. He helped launch our summer camp for at-risk children in 2007, helped mobilize mission teams for baseball camps in Germany, and was a co-producer for the Breakaway TV series that aired on Sky Angel network for many years. Jarrod was gifted in working with youth and his legacy is one of pointing people of all different walks of life to Jesus (read Jimmy’s devotional about Jarrod here).
